Typical Duties
- Airport transfers
- Chauffeur guests to and from the
pistes
- Chauffeur guests around the
resort
- Driver for weekly shopping trip
- Vehicle maintenance and cleaning
Some companies will require the
"piste runs" at set times in the morning and afternoon in which case you
may be required to help out around the chalet with other duties but may be
able to ski inbetween the runs. Others will require you to be on call the
whole day so you'll only be able to ski on your day(s) off.
Advantages
- A fairly easy job - except when
it snows a lot!
- You get to meet all the guests
- Accomodation, ski pass and
equipment.
Disadvantages
- You can be at the beck and call
of the guests - depending on the particular job
- Skiing time can be limited .-

- Snow Chains can be a pain!
- You will
need a
full clean driving licence
- Friendly with good customer
service skills
- Resourceful & able to deal with
tricky situations, eg. getting stuck in the snow when you have to get
guests to the airport on time!
- Some basic foreign language can
be an advantage
- Maintenance skills
